The world doesn’t have enough podcasts, we know this lol. Anyways, once upon a time I had collection of posts about how to start a podcast. It referenced Skype – that’s how you know it’s outdated.
These days, I recommend just using a web based tool like Riverside. It handles the local recording for guests so you don’t have to worry about teaching them how to record, manage file transfers, etc. Also the provided editor does a really nice job that doesn’t require learning a new expertise or hiring someone like me.
I hear microphones are hard to get a hold of because of tariffs, fun! I still recommend something like the trusty Audio-Technica ATR2100. Learn proper mic technique. Have fun.
