This time last year we got the earlier-than-expected announcement of WWDC. Hope we find out dates for this year soon even though we likely won’t also receive news of a whole new location again.

@apulianas I hope they announce WWDC soon too, maybe within the next week. I’ve pencilled in the first week in June and if that’s wrong I’d like to know… well, now.
@manton I think the Feb announcement last year was solely due to the date change. I bet it’ll be late March or April before we hear the date. :(
@ismh I’m afraid of that too, but hopeful anyway. Those late announcements are needlessly difficult to plan for. Doubly so for people booking international flights, etc.
@manton Totally. Also not great for planning live shows haha
@ismh Oh yeah. Good luck! Let’s hope we know the dates soon. (At least we can be 99% sure it’s San Jose again.)
@manton Do you think there will be a March event this year (March 5th?)?
@odd I thought they’d update the iPhone SE in March, but now I’m less sure. Haven’t been following the rumors closely.
@manton @odd I’m not following the rumours either, but I’ll be very surprised if SE gets another update. Especially now with X, it’s yet another design to keep around and stock boards/components for.
@oyam I sincerely hope they do update SE. Everyone in my family has one, and they love it. The form factor, especially the size. It was such a compact but powerful device.
And it has sold really well in developing countries. Has to be updated, if nothing else, for that.

@amit me too, Amit, and I love mine. Have you installed iOS 11, btw? I’d read that it wasn’t amazing on the SE.
@oyam Maintaining 4 phone sizes is a lot. But I could see Apple keeping things as-is until the X internals get cheaper, and then consolidate the middle part of the lineup instead.
@herself Yes I did (always the 1st day). Initial version was troublesome, some minor niggles throughout. But with latest updates it has significantly improved the overall experience. I do not see any issue as such. No crashes or etc.
Battery life is one thing that looks to be affected, but am not sure if it’s OS or the age of device.
@amit good to know. I think I will still hold off for now, as battery life is one thing I’ve really noticed has dropped off lately. Bummer.
